This is one of the so-called "Superbolts" used by the 8AF. The Superbolt was nothing but a regular P-47D-25 first batch and, after issued to the 360th Fighter Squadron, suffered a number of field modifications like armament reduction (only four .50 MG) to reduce weight, new British Dark Green paint (original delivered in natural metal) wich was highly polished gaving a much dark appearence and the leading edges of wings and tailplane leave in NM to increase airflow. The P-47D-25 depicts here was flown by Col. Philip Tukey while commanding the 356th FG at Martlesham Heath, May 1944. To install you MUST drop all the .3dz and .tpc files given here to your EAW's place overiting the old files.
